Thanks to everyone (all 88 of you!) who signed letters to keep the management of pension and benefits for Grandfathered employee in Oak Ridge. AGRE learned today that the language in the final Portsmouth D&D RFP, which was issued June 24, 2009, has been changed to reflect this.
Pete Peterson, the BJC representative on the CORRE Board of Directors, reported that the State of Tennessee legislature has issued House Joint Resolution No. 69 favoring passage of legislation to improve retirement benefits for ...these men and women of the Oak Ridge prime contractors, including those of the present contractors UT Battelle, B&W Y-12, Wackenhut, and Bechtel Jacobs..., signed by Governor Phil Bredesen on June 25, 2009. This resolution will be distributed via e-mail in the near future to Grandfathered retirees and employees with additional information on what happens next.
